Seyfert’s Sextet of galaxies lies about 190 million lyrs away in Serpens.

The group is in the process of merging and they are now believed to be compressed into a field that is only about 100,000 lyrs across. The features of the individual members are now smeared as they approach the final stage of merger, that is still estimated to take a few billion years

The sextet is actually a quintet since the smaller, more circular member of the group in the center lies much further away.
