These two interacting galaxies are in Virgo about 90 million lys away.
They are temporarily connected with a double pronged bridge but the measured trajectories indicate the two will glide past each other on the particular approach. The dance should continue in future eons although its not clear if they will eventually collide. Although both galaxies should be significantly disturbed by this close passage.
