NGC0488 – Chile

Fascinating galaxy. Almost pristine in its appearance, as if it has avoided any serious interaction for epochs of time. It is located in Pisces – about 113 million ly away with an estimated diameter of about 165,000 ly so it is a very large galaxy.

Its about as tightly wound as they get. Classified as an SA (r) B spiral.
