NGC4650 – Chile

This trio of interacting galaxies lies about 130 million ly away. It features 3 different phases of collision. In the middle we see the furthest, on the right we see one beginning, and on the left a “bull’s eye” hit underway. The one on the left seems to show a typical characteristic of collision ring galaxies (like the”Cartwheel) where the nucleus of the host galaxy gets moved a little off center. (Upper right here).
