NGC 7293 – Chile

The “Helix” planetary nebula in Aquarius lies 694 ly away and is the closest known planetary to us. “Cometary knobs” can be seen inside the edge of the ring. A long 11 1/2 hour exposure was used to record the faint outer shell at the top.
