The “Cat’s Paw” Nebula lies in the plane of the galaxy 5500 light years away. Astronomers studying this object believe that the lower right “Paw” is different from the rest of the nebula. They believe it is either fast moving matter being expelled at high speeds from a dying star or the remnants of a star that has already exploded.
