NGC6559

NGC6559 – Chile

A complex region consisting of a large, curving band of dark dust bisecting the image, surrounded by older, yellowish
stars in the background. Note the various features of the nebula itself. The top resembles a sort of “bobble head”
which is seemingly staring across at the bright yellow star on the left. The bottom part of the nebula contains
other intricate features, including a long, snake-like lane of dust that winds through it.
